That combination matters. Rigor without practicality produces reports no one acts on. Practicality without rigor produces decisions that don't hold up.

Our Founder
Over the past decade, Kathleen Oosthuizen has partnered with NGOs, social enterprises, foundations, and development organizations across Africa to strengthen strategy, evidence, organizational performance, and systems for learning and impact.
She founded Easthouse Insights on the belief that the strongest organizations build the capability to generate, use, and act on evidence themselves. Rather than creating dependency on external consultants, Kathleen and her team work alongside clients to strengthen internal systems, decision-making, and long-term capacity.
Much of Easthouse Insights' work takes place during periods of growth, transformation, or complexity—when organizations are refining strategy, strengthening systems, scaling programs, navigating organizational change, or seeking a deeper understanding of what is working, for whom, and why.
Kathleen brings together the analytical rigor of research with the practical realities of implementation. Having led strategy and measurement functions from within organizations and advised others as a consultant, she understands the different perspectives, constraints, and decisions faced by both leadership teams and implementation partners. Together with the Easthouse Insights team, she helps organizations turn evidence into better decisions, stronger systems, and more sustainable impact.
